Lunar Star Date Platter

Featured in: Sweet Prairie Treats

This delightful creation features large pitted dates intricately shaped into moons and stars using cookie cutters. The dates are generously filled with a mixture of crushed almonds, pistachios, orange zest, shredded coconut, and orange blossom water. After filling, the dates are arranged on a platter and brushed with honey, then sprinkled with sesame seeds and optionally decorated with edible gold leaf for a luxurious touch. Ideal for festive gatherings, this platter combines rich textures and bright citrus notes. Variations like using walnuts or lemon zest can add new flavors, and serving alongside mint tea enhances the experience.
